About

You clicked on my About page so that you might get to tie a heartstring with me. This is also what I want, my beloved readers. I wish to tie a heartstring with you so that we might become friends.

I am not here with an agenda to please you with my tickling words. I am here with sunscreen on my nose, lake hair, and my delicious husband person, simply so your eyes may rest upon my face, that you may know from where the words are being flung.

What do I have to tell you, you wonder? What do you not already know? All the blogs, the people, the clamoring for attention.

Not here.

This is a place of peace and rest. A place to solidify what you already know. A conglomeration of words, attempting to rearrange the thoughts that run wildly through the brain of a creative, homeschooling, mom of 7 and wife to one very good man.

I am first of all a creative. Perhaps even before I am a mother. My creativity spills into every aspect of my life, from the clothes I design myself and my children, to the food I create for my family. I cannot help my creativity, it’s like a river that flows endlessly.

Second of all, I am a wife. My husband is my best friend, my buddy, my lover. We do everything together. Our love is obnoxious and wonderful. We have purposely watered our grass, purposely chosen respect and patience, purposely chosen to love through the battering winds and rain of life together. This has of course not always been easy, but it was always worth it.

Thirdly, I am a mother. I am a mother to seven living children and fifteen heaven-sent babies. I call the seven living; my sheep. I am their Shepherdess, and I am proud of it. I take pride in raising them well, equipping them with life skills so they might find life a challenge that they are ready for.
